A19 LED Bulb includes a Dusk to Dawn sensor which turns on when no light is detected and turns off when light returns. This automated on and off function means you do not need a timer. Just set it and forget it. The photocell sensor does all the work for you when the power is on. Image here shows the LED on its side. You can see the sensor near the bulb base. Do not block the sensor in an enclosed fixture.
