Dimensions and features of the 4-inch remodel recessed can: diameter: 4.72-inches, height: 5.72-inches, length (can and included j-box): 8.75-inches. This recessed can for existing ceilings comes with a j- box, remodeling clips to mount in your ceiling, and a TP24 connector. This is a 120/277V fixture that is IC rated for fire safety near insulation. Fits 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch finished ceilings. Cut a hole in the drywall, connect the power to the j-box, and add a retrofit (pulls power via TP24).
Installation. Image shows the 4-inch recessed can remodel ready to assemble with included wiring connectors included within the junction box, EBA foam ring for airtight effect and provided ceiling hole template. This unit features fast, easy, and secure install in a few easy steps with the included junction box and TP24 connector. The airtight nature of this housing helps retain heat and air conditioning from leaking through the can into a ceiling or crawl space.

  • Sunco 4-inch recessed lighting can, remodel version allows you to update your space with bright, easily installed downlights. You can add retrofit LED bulb with the TP24 connector. Accepts up to 18W maximum bulb. This is designed to fit in existing ceilings. Simply cut the right size hole, insert the J-box side and then the attached airtight housing and clip it in place with the mounting clips. It is a fast install that will place your downlights right where you need them.
    All Sunco recessed cans, including this 4-inch remodel, are IC rated. The cans are thermally protected and designed to be installed in the ceiling surrounded by insulation. Image shows the 4-inch recessed can, remodel in a ceiling with an attached junction box and the clips holding the can in place. TP24 connector included, as shown.
    Fast installation. 1. Carefully cut 4 3/8-inch hole in ceiling where downlight is desired. 2. Pull wiring through and make electrical connections. 3. Insert remodel recessed can, J-box first, into ceiling so can fits flush to hole. 4. While holding the can against the ceiling, push mounting clips through housing slot and push flat portion against side of can until it locks in place. Add 18W max LED retrofit downlight (sold separately) and you're ready to go.
